Ooh, I'm interested! I think it's a nice twist that Philip doesn't like being a necromancer -- it brings something new to the table, which is always good. Also, I really like Arthur Carfax's name, for some reason. He sort of reminds me of Walter from Fringe, if only because of the way he speaks ... I keep imagining Walter's voice in my head. XD
It's not so much that he dislikes raising the dead for any moral reasonings as it is that he just hates the smell and funk that comes with it. You know how some people associate the smell of antiseptic to bad hospital experiences? Philip associates the smell of decay with bad memories of Lilith.
Really makes me wonder why he's a necromancer in the first place! And it seems that he and Lilith have quite the background! I am interested to learn more!!
Well, if you're curious to read more I've got chapters 1-4 posted up on the other LJ. I just need to go through and edit those entries to show up, I guess.
Can you see the massive spamming I did this morning or not on your friend page?
P.S. YES I KNOW AND I'M EQUAL PARTS EXCITED AND DREADING IT.
Waaaah... *kicks LJ* I thought my organizational skills would work!!
I dread it because I'm afraid of the ending! I really didn't like the ending in the books at all, and I'm very fearful this will be the ONE BOOK that the directors and script writers will stick to exactly.

HAHA! Walter from Fringe is a pretty good basis. Arthur's British, an inventor/mad scientist ... but he's a but more hinged than Walter is.
*grins* I'm so glad you liked it! Thanks for reading!
