I went out to dinner with my parents and youngest sister.  We went to Le Shio, an Asian Fusion restaurant that is always excellent.

My tummy is now very happily full of tom ka gai (chicken coconut soup) and the valentina ume shio sushi roll (salmon, tuna, asparagus, mango sauce, and each piece is shaped like a little heart).

I am now sitting in ( Read more... )

*enjoys suitably dramatic music*

You know, this music is suitably dramatic. Word count is now down to 377. I am gonna beat this bitch UP!

Wow! Look at you go. That's absolutely fabulous that the story is finally shaping up for you! That's the kind of thing that NaNo is good for, and it's really cool to see some situations and dynamics develop that you didn't originally plan on...and it still works out good. Congrats!

*bows* Thank you, thank you.

I am now OFFICIALLY ahead of the game though. And it is GREAT. I can't wait to post a clip of what I have tomorrow. Clara and Arthur's confrontation is fantastic. It's so much better than I ever imagined it would be.

Yay for hitting the groove~ It is a wondrous feeling and I'm glad you like it. XD

I think writing always turns out better when we're happy with it. Even if no one else likes it - you can still go 'screw you; this is awesome.'

Can't wait to read it~ :D

*NODS* It certainly is, although ... I see I'm still about a thousand years behind you. *hangs head*

Dear god, woman. When you start something you REALLY have a field day with it, don't you?

I'm not 100% happy with the turn out, but it is a very good, very solid base. I'm now on chapter eight, which is the farthest I've EVER gotten on the story.

Heeee, you and me both! I can't wait to read YOURS as well.

Ha ha. Yeah, that.

The site helps. That little "You have so many words to write today' thing taunted my OCD like no tomorrow. If it didn't say '0' than I went crazy. Literally "ARGH" and I keep writing until it's filled. XD

So yeah...but ditto here. Right now Im just concentrating on finishing the story and ENDING it. I've got plenty of things over 50,000 words (in fact you were reading one of them XD) that just dropped off and dwindled. Either way - this one is getting done if it kills me.

Then I'll go back and fix stuff - for example, my detective wasn't introduced until the third murder...he probably should have shown up for the first one. XD Stuff like that.

And yay!!! THe novel exchange will be such fun. XD
