I am only for equal rights regarding career and also work in general - sort of, quite against "woman, make me a sandwich" type of things. but I do think that men should carry the furniture or heavy suitcases for women, men should open the door once in a while and possibly even occasionally move the chair for the lady to sit.
And that's cool! See, by that definition right there, I'd consider you a feminist. To me, the biggest part about feminism is that you're a) aware of gender inequality and b) support correcting that. In that same light, my dad is a feminist. He's probably a better one than I am, to be honest. We've gotten into a few discussions where he's proven that. *nods*

Feminism...woooah baby is that a great, loaded, topic. I can't stand the word or the hard core concepts behind it at all and yet I am all for gender equality to a degree, which is why I don't buy into Feminism at all. Besides, Femi-nazi's scare me.And that's pretty much what I'll be talking about, with the addition that feminism shouldn't be treated like a dirty word. I consider myself a feminist, but I think you and I can both agree I'm not the angry, all-things-phallic-must-die sort of person. And I know for a fact that the majority of women I know who identify themselves as being a feminist certainly don't think that as well

*GRINS* I come from a family heavy on the Italian influence. We love our food. One of my younger sisters has perfected #1 to the point of being an art. She once actually took the hamburger right out of her boyfriend's hand to steal a couple bites and he didn't even realize it.
And #8 is fun, especially if you announce your pillaging intentions.

I'm taking classes either toward getting a doctorate in English or in psychology. Was originally taking classes for linguistics and translation. Found out they require study abroad stuff which I absolutely cannot afford and had to quit the program

Om nom nom. I feel you on the weight loss being omgwtf slow. I've only lost lb in a month. T_T I'm trying now something like a "slow burn" and see how that goes. I feel like every other week is a freaking plateau. The triathalon sounds FUN! I don't know if I could pull off the 12 miles biking, but still incredibly awesome. :D

Yeah, you do have that down pat. We're working on the issue of supervision there. The problem being we being coworker (my boss) and I going there once a week, and the other higher-ups there don't have the same vision or eye for detail as big-boss. I'm still getting groomed a bit for it, but without an official title, it makes it all a little trickier. Often I'll go to my boss when I've been having issues with trying best to learn how to handle them. So it's a work in progress, but the more challenging ends. -TL;DR: I've got a good work experience going on.
But we are SO on for the weekend! I believe we're still on for Saturday. I have no idea what you've got in mind, but the sound of needing comfy shoes to walk in piques my curiosity! :3 I just got back in from a walk outside and got caught in rain. - Which reminds me: Will a water bottle be necessary as well if this is a venture of the outdoorsy type?
