Yeah, I'm just BARELY back. I pulled a Pele and finished it off in about 45 minutes. Like, I literally had NOTHING after the first POV shift until 45 before the deadline. *dies*
Yaaaay, you're back in action! I'm so glad to see that -- and this story, like your previous ones, is just as detailed and well-thought out as I expected. It was disturbing but believable, and I loved this whole setting and premise. I hope more is coming!
Thanks, Kendra! It's quite a bit different for me, which I think is a good way to kick off rejoining the fray. Different structural style, different POV, very different content. And yes, if the week two prompt allows I will most definitely be following up with things here.
Wow, this was ... *whew* This was just breathtaking! What a way to come roaring back to the writing scene! I thought I liked the first part better, but you ended up hooking me in the second half with the vividness. It was just fantastic throughout. I don't have praise high enough. I hope you write more about the whole escapade. What a tangled web you wove here. I just want to know MORE!
Aww, thanks, keppie! I've been having a right lousy time writing wise, so it really means a lot to hear you say it turned out well. I agree completely that the first half was MUCH stronger. Reading back through it, you can totally tell that second part was written very last minute. All those tensing changes during the rape scene... *twitches*
Fortunately, the week two prompt works perfectly for the second half of this story. So, yes. You will see more.
If this is you having trouble, I am just going to lie down and cry uncle right now. Holy mackerel. What are you talking about?! *mumbles old chestnut people being their about own worst critics and seriously considers rewriting week 2 to brace myself for what is sure to be a most terrific onslaught of writerly competition!*
HAHA!!! No, seriously. This is me cramming stuff out last minute and being very rusty. Hence the reason I'm now in the run off poll and will probably be eliminated. But it's been fun and I need to finish that week two piece.

(I'll come back to read it later. I need to pay attention to those things I neglected whilst procrastinating my own story ;) )
