tour journal hiatus

We pulled into Asheville around 9:30 last night. We got a welcome reception from my roommate Murdoch's old pal JD and his gaggle of friends. Beers were a buck and smokes were the blessedly cheap price of $3.99 instead of $9.50 like they were in New York. Somewhere in Virginia
Getting into New York was a nerve-racking endeavor to say the least. First of all, Monica had to pick up Tetsuro at the airport in Philly for Nick and Holly's wedding. In addition to that, Sonia and Eric expected to be picked up in Brooklyn without having clearly communicating their wishes for a ride until that afternoon.

More strange and fun days on the road have ensued. Picking up where we left off in North Dakota, our next show was at Eclipse Records in St. Paul, Minnesota. The past week has been pretty chill. Last Friday we ended up bunking down with Monica at her apartment on Black Lake St. in Olympia.
