Thanks so very much, Tox. Hubby & I got tricked into education positions in the Cam and one of our topics is plot development. Your link and Polti's book are going to be of tremendous assistance to us when we put together that presentation. We're both very excited about this resource and are looking forward to both reading it and referencing it.
If you want any help...maybe give me a call or drop me an email. I'd give YOU way more info on game theory and dramatic plot elements than I put into this post (Need to keep some secrets for my gameplay and GMing).
I've been playing Vampire for awhile now and I like it... the game goes through it's high points and it's low points but that's life. One thing I discovered is not to make characters too outside your own personal experiances. I don't know what it's like to be 700 years old, so my character is 19. (She was embraced at 16)... 19 I can play, 700 I can't. It makes life easier and it makes the game more fun.
Though I have to admit I've discovered I like games where everyone works as a team to accomplish goals as opposed to vampire where everyone stabs everyone else in the back.
