I can't wait for winter, so I can make stew. I think it's very important to make stew in the winter.

Crazy Aussies having your winter all backwards. Stews are year-around food for me though, the throw stuff together and let it cook simplicity of it is nice.

I love stews year round as well. I just think they are extra good in Winter. :D In summer I usually can't be bothered much standing in front of a pot supervising hot stew (I am the worst house-wife ever).

Well for what I had in my awesome stew - actually known as Karelian hotpot - was a mix of beef, pork and lamb chopped into cubes. If I had to go with one over the rest though I think it would be pork.

I'm fond of certain fish for soups and stews, depends on what I'm making though. There's this one fish soup that has shrimp and fish in it that I can't remember the name of... or how I made it. Delicious though!

Man I'm vague.
