The First Week in Birmingham...

Overall, I am ambivalent about the whole ordeal. The job is really nice in a lot of ways, but I feel that it will be a little less fun once I know all of the equipment and get used to it. I never really liked being so exact with my work as a chemist (careful, yes, but quantitative was never my game) and while this job is not an quantitative ( Read more... )

Hey Sarah... Doug said you'll be going to HSV about every other week. Lemme know a week you'll be staying in B'Ham and I'd love to plan a day just doing "stuff" :)

Yeah, I went up this weekend to see him, but just for the night. I don't know if I am going up next weekend for the whole weekend or not. That will depend on a few things. I will let you know about Wednesday what my plans are for the weekend.

i'm glad things are going....sort of okay, i guess. could be worse, right? it's sad about dougie. we've all (the gang) decided to try to make more effort to go and seem him often, i'm sure he misses you insanely, not to mention the cabin fever. it sucks that i am going out of town this weekend that you are coming in. you need time with doug anyway. i'm hoping that maybe in a week or so jason and i can drive down or something and see you. my tat is still a little flaky, i have been waiting for it to completely heal before showing it off. also, i don't have a digital camera, so that means i have to take a pic, get it developed, scan it in, then post it. so, it'll be awhile. this is too long of a comment...i'm thinking of you! take care! =)

Awww, that is sweet of you guys. He does miss me insanely, but he won't admit it to himself. That would be cool to see you and Jason down here. I know nothing of Birmingham, but we could go exploring. Sucks the the tattoo is still flaky, but you don't have to have a scanner. Take a picture and when you get it developed ask for a CD with the pictures on it. It only costs an extra $2-3 to get one and then your pictures are in a digital format. That is what I do. Good luck with school, Ka-chan!
