Haven't been shooting photos in the past few weeks, but found time yesterday to do some portraits of my very favourite doll (which, by the way, I've decided to rename Olivia).

I like how the cross stands out in the first pic.

these are so cool. I really like the second and third ones, it looks like she's alive. ^_^

Your pictures of Olivia are so beautiful! By the way, I love renaming my dolls too, "barbie doll" means nothing but a common noun to me, I feel that the dolls should have names since they have personalities...

I love the second picture most of all, it reminds me of antique photo-art, in a way :)
..and in general, Midge has very specific features, she's my favourite Mattel doll as well as Gillian from FF series.

Thank you! thank you ! thank you!
I totally agree with you about renaming dolls.
And I'm glad you've made the connection with antique photo-art: sepia-toned portraits of the 19th century are a major source of inspiration to me
And once again I have to agree with you: Midge is my favourite, and surf city midge in particular is just the most beautiful doll you can find, she's an absolute perfection

I adore those photographs dated with the end of 19th and the beginning of 20th century. I've seen a lot of them in museums and antique shops (I'm a fan of antique postcards and photographs, in general, and I've started a collection of antique postcards recently). And I am very impressed by the way you captured the spirits!

Midge is a perfect doll, she stands apart from all Mattel dolls. I have a dream of getting myself one, but here they are hard to find. We have it all arranged with a girl who is ready to sell and send me her Midge (the pregnant one) from the other city. She's in perfect condition and it makes me happy :)

I'm happy for you. Tell me when you receive your midge, it's true they're hard to find.
