on a side note, i gave a friend of mine the "tour" of the ins and outs of my Prius. a few weeks ago, he started a new job with Geico. he knew more than the instructor because even the instructor didn't know how to get in the car, how to turn it on, or where anything was inside the car. he was the celebrity of the class because no one else knew.

so, in my opinion, if you end up training someone at the car place and you're nice enough about it, you'll be doing them a favor and probably make their day. *g*

I had my car handwashed at a local place called Classic Car Wash and I called and spoke with someone, making sure that they could handle my car. And they had no problems. I even watched them drive it through the spray area and watch it drive to the drive area. Just call the car wash place and ask them what their Prius experience is.

I've been to three different car washes and not had a single problem. I live in California. You practically get a Prius for crossing the border in your moving truck.

I live in LA as well, and no-one has ever had a problem with it. In fact, I still have my whole pad of those instruction cards! And I got it new in 2005!

You have to remember that these people do this for eight hours a day, five days a week, and in LA, every third car is a Prius! So don't worry about it!

I live in the SF Bay Area and no valet or car wash has ever had a problem figuring out my car. I just got back from LA and the valets at the hotel there didn't have a problem either. (There are a LOT of Prii in California.)
