I've had the same type thing happen. As long as you've been getting the regular maintenance done and it isn't spewing anything, you're going to be just fine. :)
If it's a 2005, another issue might be that the 12V car battery in the trunk (not the hybrid battery pack) is probably nearing the end of its useful life. But, really, it could be anything.
I don't know if this applies to yours, mine is a 2003.
Do you pump your own gas? Here in Oregon we don't, and I have a problem with the attendants topping it off. Apparently, when the tank is overfilled, a little bit of gas can leak out around the tank and trigger a sensor there. If you're lucky, it dries out and it's fine. If not, the gas tank has to be pulled and the sensor replaced.
Another problem I have had this year has occurred only in freezing weather. Since they upped the amount of ethanol in gas this year, I suspect the water in the ethanol (ethanol is water-soluble and always has some water content, gas is not) forms ice crystals that are playing havoc. My check engine light came on three time this year, always during the coldest weather and they never found anything wrong.
My last oil change was two months ago. I have not added any since then and the light only came on this morning, so I'm not sure how that could be the cause.

Would that show up in the code when it's pulled by the scanner though?
