I bought a 2005 Prius a couple of months ago. .so I am still a relatively new (and very happy) owner. However, there are a couple of things I've been wondering about so I figured here would be the place to ask them

Not sure about the battery, but the B.O. smell is probably the cabin air filter.

The battery wears down because you're using the battery to feed the engine more than using the engine to feed the battery, like if you go uphill for a good chunk or park with the car and air conditioner on or something. While driving in the mountains, uphill for an hour or more, I've had the battery run almost all the way out and the car slowed to a crawl. No harm done; cruising downhill on the way back fed my battery all the way up to the top!

I don't know about the BO smell. I have a 2005 and my car smells great, even when it rains.
