Regarding LKH... I guess you could at least go along to ask the question: "Would it be possible for you to re-read some of the earlier books in the series and remember how to put a little plot in between the porn?"

I know, though. It just got eye-rollingly Mary Sue-ish and I just wanted Anita to Just Say No to sex of any kind for awhile.

Had to poke my nose in because she drives me bonkers.

I did pretty good with her, loved them really, till I got to Blue Moon. Then... just... ugh.

Weirdly, I'm enjoying the Merry books (in a "I'm reading fluff" sort of way) even though I loathe what she's done to Anita. I think probably because they don't seem to have any pretense beyond gratuitous elf-smut.

I'm not a fan of LKH, but I did see her panel at Comic Con and she's a really interesting speaker. Her fans are pretty fanatic too. She seems to have a really big ego, but I still found her panel entertaining.
