Why is God so good to us?

I was reading 1 Peter 1 in my bible today... and it encouraged me so much. I've read it so many times before and its always encouraging, but for where I am right now in my life... it was definately a "breath of fresh air"

1 Peter 1:3-9: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be

it's strange how i come on here today and find that you have posted that entry. for the last week, i have felt myself backsliding a little and becoming discouraged easily. i think primarily because of these issues that are resurfacing. each time i have prayed no matter where i am and just asked the Lord to make me stronger because i know the devil is trying to bring me to my old ways, my old self. and i don't want to. God has brought me to such an awesome place and i don't want to lose that. temptation and depression have been knocking at my door and thankfully i have an incredible father up above that is helping me to hold steady and learn from these "trials."

i'm glad I could encourage you from that. We are so blessed to have a Book we can read daily that encourages, strengthens and challenges us. Its living and active. It never ceases to amaze me. I learn something new everyday, even if i've read the same thing 100 times. God is just so good to us!

AMEN SISTA!! :) God is AWESOME!! It's funny ((not like "haha"..more like "weird")) that you posted those verses because i've been going over those ones a ton through everything with dad! God is so incradibly undescibably awesome and good that He is uses all things for our good (Rom 8:28) and that He uses these trials to grow us...i can't wait for heaven! whooo!!
