This is another one that would look nicer as a not-wedding dress. Except, as you said, the chest is off. I mean, I can't pull off that type of bust, but at least the model shouldn't have the line-thingy (my dress terminology sucks) in the middle of her boob.

Yeah, I can't do it either. I just occurred to me that she's probably got those little rubber-ish cup things stuck to her to keep her in place and, uh, shapely.

Plus it has the issue that people may drop a quarter in that slot thinking it will start a video game or get them 30min of parking.

For 50 cents, she'll sing you three songs. ;)

Looks a little top-heavy to me. And I don't need any more top-heavy... *smirk*

It does look like a dress that could have much more potential outside of the wedding sphere.

I agree on both counts!

Agreeing with most of the comments so far-- the concept of this one actually isn't bad. Has kind of a Grecian look to it. But for a wedding, and for some reason with that veil, to me it looks like a tween dressing up for Halloween as a bride. I do agree with you that the bunchy gathering right in the middle of the front was a bad idea, and that the dress would be better without it. And from a Snarky Seamstress (TM) perspective, it's just an overall bad fitting job on that model--not just in the chest as you pointed out, but if you look closely at the back, there's some major gapping issues going on right around that back keyhole slit thing. Not to mention the gathering going right into the diagonal lines in the front and back like that looks kind of sloppy. Not as bad from the side profile, I'll admit, but I still wonder if it might have been better to not make it quite so scrunchy.

You're right, she does look like she should be twelve or something and not a serious bride...unless we've gone back many years in time, making it possible for her to be both. *cough*

Snarky Seamstress (TM), thank you for stopping by yet again and gracing us with your amusing yet truth-filled commentary!!

This has absolutely nothing to do with NMD, but I'm thinking you'd probably like the craft book I picked up today (I went to Borders with the intent of getting the next Dresden Files book that I need to read, but had seen a lot of buzz lately about it on the craft blogs I read and decided to check it out. Oh, and I still got the next DF book.) Anyway, it's basically a how-to for making origami flowers out of fabric and then things to use them on. I'm excited to try it out, once I figure out an excuse...

Interesting!! I bet once you get through the whole process they're a lot more durable than paper origami flowers!

An iron must be involved??
