I think it would be pretty if it were toned down. While I must admit that mine was a princess dress, I now think simpler is better.

Now that you mentioned it, I do see a bit of a Queen of Hearts-esque feel to the embroidery. Must have something to do with the black and white color theme.

I actually really like colour on wedding dresses (or rather, I don't like wearing white so in the eventual future I shall have colour on my wedding dress) but yes, that's wrong. The skirt is awful. Absolutely awful. I mean, the puffiness, like you mentioned, is off. And the racing stripes don't help either. There should either be more or none.
