Friday was our consultation with the fertility specialist -- We are cautiously optimistic! We liked the doctor quite a bit. He has a gentle, honest manner which we both appreciated. From looking at our medical profiles, he was able to narrow the playing field slightly, ruling our a couple of things, which is great. Believe me, the array of tests ( Read more... )

I am excited about your fertility consult! I know I rarely comment on the baby-making subject, but that's mainly because my personal experience isn't exactly an encouraging thing to share. I can really relate to the ups and downs, though.

You are making me hungry for cupcakes! Lemon cupcakes sound wonderful. Do you decorate them all fancy?

You know, as much as it's disappointing and frustrating, I can understand the insurance industry's reluctance to cover fertility issues. If people manage to conceive, then they have the additional costs of medical issues associated with child birth and raising. It's more money. It's a shame that that is the primary consideration.

Anyway, good luck with all the tests and overcoming whatever the issues are.

Cupcakes... mmmmmm!

Sounds like you're starting your new year off well. I hope the rest of the year is as good.

I am shaking my GO TRACE AND IAN! pompoms after reading this entry. :) It might be expensive, but I think that's the reason we save money and work: for the things that matter most to us. Cheering on the fertility process!
