Dude, if we lived close enough to each other, I'd be all over joining your group. I've always wanted to have a group of friends to RPG together, but growing up in the military and always moving around that never happened for me. :(

I know how you feel. I grew up in rural Manitoba and didn't have anyone to play with.

If you were closer you'd totally be welcome to join us my friend :) Maybe if I like DMing we can start up a group over Skype or something :)

That'd be cool - but I have no materials anymore... I either tossed them, gave them away, or they were stolen. (It was so many years ago I can't remember! LOL)

No worries though. There are LOTS of free tools out there for dice rolling and for setting up campaigns online and such :)

One thing that we did in our 4th Edition campaign was to make Splug, the little runt from the starter campaign, be part of our group. We ran with 4 people, 1 DMming and 3 playing, and we had Splug be a rotating character that we took turns playing. It was actually a lot of fun, and none of us got too bored playing Splug when it was our turn. Unconventional, perhaps, but it was pretty interesting and added a fun flavor to the gameplay.

That sounds like a good idea. Everyone gets to share one character so no one person feels bogged down all the time. Might have to try that out! Thanks! :D
