So the recent TSA policy issue is pretty amusing. One point that came up that does interest me is can they get away with it without bankrupting the airlines? While we've repeatedly proven that our voting ballots don't mean much, we still have other options for expressing our opinions. This one I'll call voting with your wallet. Why exactly is bankrupting the airlines a bad thing? I say more high speed rail in this country, and reserve flights mainly for coast to coast or international travel.

It's a shame that the TSA isn't something we can vote against with our wallets. It's a bigger shame that it's something we can't vote away with our politicians. You'd think our senators would be pretty keen to dispatch with al Qaeda sympathizers but I guess not.

No, I won't claim bankrupting airlines is a bad thing, but it would be ironically suicidal for TSA to do so. What's next? 'The safest airport is a closed airport!'

I don't really consider it ironic that a group that so clearly has more in common with al Qaeda, ideologically, than with the founders of this nation would engage in a suicide attack.

I find it ironic that they were put in this position in the first place. Having the TSA as a step to protect people from al Qaeda is like if they'd had the Klan integrate schools in the south.
