Is it the taste or the texture that you dislike about coconut. I too like coconut battered shrimp, but I hate it everywhere else. It's just too _awd-damned chewy!

total texture - it gets in my TEETH in a way that just, oh god, is horrible! when you deep-fry it in batter, the texture changes for the better, i think.

whoop! i always hate "twinkle" too, it is too much like "tinkle," which is my least favorite word for pee, i think.
