Out of curiosity, what purpose would speaking with the apparent 'scientists' do for the people here?

Then that raises the question of why people talk with them in the first place.

From my perspective:

Some people seem to want to work with them to make life easier for everyone. Unfortunately, that requires compromise, and the scientists don't seem to want to do it.

Other people seem to like to antagonize them. Unfortunately, this just fuels the scientists' reasoning for not wanting to reach a compromise.

"Make life easier for everyone." They could make life easier by themselves if they were more organised, based on what i've been told of the community.

I'm going to assume that no one truly knows what those people are actually doing and what they are capable of.

They have access to a lot more technology and resources than we do. We have done our best so far, but we would appreciate help.
