relationships in the broad sense of the word are a good thing. i don't think anyone argued that you should cut off all contact with humanity. if they did, i'd call that a strange viewpoint.

however, dating relationships, which are occasionally referred to by just the word "relationships," are a specific type. there are pros and cons. not everything about them is good or bad. depending on your ultimate goals, they can be either incredibly meaningful or incredibly pointless.

Yes you could go up to someone and do that but it might be a little wierd. Some kind of realtionship could easily be a friendship. A note for the whole "slut" thing... I don't understand why society has such negative connotations for that.
