Because I feel inferior to almost everybody thats in there. There are so many good people and Im not motivated to be that good, cause Im not going to do anything in band when I graduate. So it's kind of a a waste of my time. And everybody seems conceited, like there is this atmosphere in the class that "Im better then you." I really despise that. And I think I am being little bit judgemental but those are my feelings that I am getting from the class.
but playing an instrument has nothing to do with what you're going to do past graduation... heck, you're taking english classes now too but are you going to do anything with english once you graduate? (aside from use it, i guess... haha)
i don't know of any college that restricts band to music majors only, by the way. every college band director would love to have another horn player in their band, even if they are a biology major or something else.
