I TOTALLY agree with you and wish you the best HOLIDAYS ever! I won't have much free time this summer it will go on the way it goes now, but I'm surely do want to do something with you! I'm gonna live near Metro Laurier in less than a month, so I'll be closer. Come to my place to watch the fireworks from my roof =)

Good for you. I wish I could do the same, but alas, I want to earn money and travel more than I want to relax this summer, and I actually like my job too so that helps.

I've always said, if you're not happy, change what's making you unhappy! :) Enjoy your break, my dear :)

I hate mine... if I was greedy and listened to my family, I would work all the time and exhaust myself out of it. My things are calculated, with a little less spending I can get through two months without any problem. Also, because I make less money overall, I get more loan/bursary money as well.

So I just need to crack the news to my boss tomorrow. Good bosses are supposed to react professionally, aren't they?

Your boss should respond well, but hey, if he/she reacts badly, you'll KNOW for sure that you didn't want to work there anyway! :P

Yeah, I'm a long way from wearing myself out. I only work 4 hours a night for 4-6 days, for heaven's sake. I'm glad to see you're taking time out to take care of yourself :)

As a young adult I always found the balance to be terribly skewed. I either had lots of money coming in, and no time to spend it, or I had lots of time and not much that could be done due to lack of money.

I wish you all the best for the summer.

In the equation, time always weighs more than money in the balance... I live in a lot of luxury for a student on loan. Cut the luxury, and I can have more time to do what I really like... read and study. I don't go out to clubs anymore, I can stop eating at restaurants, I don't care that much about clothing (although I packed quite a lot of it in May, I don't need anymore for the summer), etc... so it's really just about paying the rent and having a correct amount of food. Otherwise... man, I'd rather read in the park all day than sit at a reception desk and be a modern slave...
