"Now," Tomo explains as she pulls the delicious-smelling pastry out of the oven, "if you're creative enough, you can bake virtually anything into a pie -- from fruits, to meat, to chocolate. But you should know somehthing about how well your filling of choice is going to cook."
In the past few days, Tomo's taught them many things about cooking, from bread to cake, to cookies, to dinners, vegetables, and now pie. The pie of today is an unknown fruit, but it smells sweet and tangy.
"I love Earth recipies. That's where humans are from, right?" She smiles, setting the pie down on the counter to cool. "Don't eat it just yet, it's--"
"Tomo, dear." Daru's voice cuts her off, void of emotion. Tomo turns amd smiles.
"Hello, Daru! I was just training them in cooking, I think they're doing--"
"There's been an escape attempt. I believe it would be... beneficial for your slaves to observe the punishment."
Tomo seems to freeze. "Daru..." she begs, "They're only children! They can't--"
"Children or not, they should know what will happen when they try to escape." Daru glances down at Cureall and Wheelie. "Follow me. That's an order."
