Yeah, I wish I'd done more to help support the No on Prop 8 campaign. I thought it was going to be close, but I really never thought the state that usually leads the union in progressive thought would write homophobic hatred into the constitution.

Never underestimate the spending power of the Mormon church. Most of the money for Prop 8 came from Utah at the behest of their organization; even better, they've been planning this since 1997, discussing the fact that it would be necessary to not be the public face of this coming campaign, and meeting with the Catholic leadership in California. About $1million came from the Knights of Columbus, more than $23 million came from the Mormon church (members).

There is no democracy in a bee-hive.

I was there at Hollywood and Highland last night with a gay coworker of mine.

40 years ago it was over buses and drinking fountains, and now it's over marriage.
