Yeah, I'm installing WinXP on my MacBook Pro right now. Boot Camp install had issues, but installing purely under the virtual engine is going great so far.

Holy crap, that's one cool piece of software. Neatest implementation of a long term backup utility I've ever seen, and with almost no setup time or hassle. And Apple hit it right on the head with the Time Capsule, too. 500$ for a wireless 802.11n router, and 1TB NAS in one unit that took about 2 minutes to get up and running? I'm still getting my new MacBook Pro all set up and configured. Waiting on Parallels to get here (UPS shipment got held up in Dallas last night, but it still might make it here today).

It's been a good week on the Mac front. I have my iMac up again (which means I'll be posting on LJ more), and Apple just released the long-awaited (by me at least) update to the MacBook Pro line, just as my stupid Dell XPS is starting to die on me. Order is in, now I just have to wait...and wait...and wait.

As much as I love southern california, it is quite a shame that we don't dress up very often.

I make a righteous friggen martini. God, it's good to be home, and at my own bar, where I know enough to refrigerate my vermouth, and have an assortment of very fine to amazing gins, and have such a variety of gourmet olives and other garnishes that I can tune the flavor of my martini. Back in SLC after another trip home. Damn I miss CA. Had a very good trip, going to Roob's wedding and spending a bunch of time hanging with my old friends Justin and Jenn, which doesn't happen nearly enough.
