Fresh new tunes!

Alright, thanks to the wonderful Charlie I have found that Bitcrush will be releasing a new album in a week. This is a great ambient/noise band that has always had a shoegazer influence but on this record you can really hear it. I can totally picture Bitcrush listening to Slowdive before making this record. Sounds like Pygmalion-era Slowdive, which is basically Neil Halstead channeling Eno for a shoegaze record. Coincidentally, that is my fave Slowdive album by far, so thanks for the tip, although the name Bitcrush is really lame.

Come to think of it, it sounds a bit like the Cocteaus' Victorialand-era stuff.

I haven't heard Victorialand yet. Bitcrush isn't the best name ever, I agree. But the album is damn good.

Well, it sounded like Victorialand until the drums started. haha

Shoegaze bands have some incredibly daft names sometimes...Alison's Halo was another one. Great band, shit name. Can't tell if they're a bunch of goofy goths or kids with the feedback.
