Alright, thanks to the wonderful Charlie I have found that Bitcrush will be releasing a new album in a week. This is a great ambient/noise band that has always had a shoegazer influence but on this record you can really hear it. I can totally picture Bitcrush listening to Slowdive before making this record. Now you may wonder how I know so much

Sounds like Pygmalion-era Slowdive, which is basically Neil Halstead channeling Eno for a shoegaze record. Coincidentally, that is my fave Slowdive album by far, so thanks for the tip, although the name Bitcrush is really lame.

Come to think of it, it sounds a bit like the Cocteaus' Victorialand-era stuff.

I haven't heard Victorialand yet. Bitcrush isn't the best name ever, I agree. But the album is damn good.

Shoegaze bands have some incredibly daft names sometimes...Alison's Halo was another one. Great band, shit name. Can't tell if they're a bunch of goofy goths or kids with the feedback.
