one step closer to disconnection.

Mar 19, 2008 15:00

my grandmother passed at around 7:30 this morning. oddly enough, two years and about a week after her husband passed. she went quietly in her sleep as she had been knocked out on morphine for two hours. a painless death is the best most of us can hope for.

I no longer have any living grandparents. I won't have to do this again until my own parents

*hugs* I can relate. My mom's dad died when she was 11, my PawPaw died when I was 7, and in 1995 both my grandmothers died, a week apart from each other (right before christmas LOL)

I'm sorry for your loss, Gary. I wish a long happy life for your parents. Your mom is just the sweetest woman.

Our condolences, Gary. Grandparents are special, and Connie and I still feel the pangs of longing for ours.

My grandmother's got alzehimers, and I don't know how my Step-Grandpaw is going to fair if she goes. There's talks of them moving to Houston to live around my Uncle, so that there'll be more family to take care of them.
