having more fun with the l4d2 demo than i did with the entire l4d game. i like their personalities, but their designs are horrible. with the original cast you could look at the characters and tell what each of their occupations were; biker, army, office, college teen. looking at the new characters they all just look like generic generics- except

I will be playing Nick and only Nick. After playing the demo and hearing them banter, he is by far my favorite. I swear they banter more this time, which I like a LOT.
I am super excited for this game. I think melee weapons are the best addition, personally, because then when the zombies get up in my face I have something to get 'em off fast. The witches that walk around are fun too, makes me shoot more carefully.
Overall, it's seriously like the first game only better. Minus the fact there is no Francis or Bill. If they make a Left 4 Dead 3, they should meet up or something. Francis is still one of my favorite characters in gaming, ever.

Just don't let the Jockey sit on your face/Boomer get his goo on you/Charger jerk you around/etc. etc.

yeah, the balance between throwing away your pistols and picking up a melee weapon is pretty neat. i also like the wide variety in weapons- it's too bad they had to cut some from the demo. i kinda wish there was a bigger difference in how each melee weapon was used. they all seem to have the same stats so far.

i think i heard something about all the characters meeting up in a later game.

my only issue with the game so far has been that whenever i try to join a game, it's either too laggy, the host has left the lobby, or it's towards the end of the campaign. also, the only players with mics have been 8 year olds.

I'm hoping Rochelle has more lines or something. She says almost nothing in the demo, so she really is just the token black chick at this point.

Ellis is my favorite because he's so clearly the kid of the group, then Coach since I always like playing as the older dudes, and then Nick, who's a lot more interesting than I thought he'd be.
