So Mary and I both have papers due tomorrow for our Air Power class. However, all I can think of is the airships in Avatar, the Last Airbender, and all both of us can think about is Olympic swimmer slash. Don't ask.

That being said, I present our thesis paper:

It can be argued that the Wright brothers' first flight is the apex of air power development. However, the semirigid air ship not only has proven itself as an instrument of war in real life, but within the realm of fiction and cartoon. The airship presented in the Avatar universe is sturdy and reliable. In fact, so sturdy that it could support two swimmers of the U.S. National's team.

Ryan Lochte catches Michael’s hand and pulls. It brings Michael stumbling forward a few steps and his hand into direct contact with the skin of Ryan’s chest, right above his heart.
“Mike, chill.”
Ryan’s thumb is rubbing over the skin on the back of his hand, and this is so not what he needs to be doing right now. He needs to… to… he needs to do something. Like get his hand back. Instead, he takes a step forward into Ryan, and it’s something he’s never thought would actually happen.
In conclusion, airships were proven not only effective as instruments of war, but also a reliable place to get it on the quick and dirty. As proven through the evidence, Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte successfully showed the reliability and durability of the air ship, strengthening the image that is presented in the Avatard universe and throughout history.
