Yesterday, a group of us went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and I couldn't believe the movie. I have never before been disappointed by Tim Burton's directing not Johnny Depp's acting but both happened with this movie. Okay, you have claimed to have read the book...In the book, all those things happen to the kids and and you see the kids after they leave the building. Now in the first movie, Charlie and his Grandfather steal fizzy lifting drinks but in the book they don't do anything bad...did you forget about that?! THAT IS WHY CHARLIE WINS IN THIS MOVIE, SINCE HE IS THE LAST CHILD LEFT. DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THAT ROAL DAHL IS A TWISTED WRITER?!!! Charlie was a good kid that listened to Mr. Wonka and STAYED IN ONE PIECE DURING THE TOUR. And about Tim Burton...The reference to Willy's dad, well you darn well knew that there would be a twist in the movie...that was the twist. It was to explain Willy's behavior, according to Tim Burton. Charlie did care about the children but THEY DIDN'T LISTEN TO HIM...THEY DIDN'T LISTEN TO GENE WILDER IN THE FIRST MOVIE!!! DUH!!!
