A few people have said similar things, which is fantastic because I was aiming for that kind of feel. This story has a lot to do with things I'm going through right now -- it's very personal -- so I put a lot of my own emotions into it, despite the happy ending.

Yeah I was swinging between breaking their hearts and doing this, and finally this won out. I just wanted to give my own explanation for why Remus stares into the fire so despondently when Celestina Warbeck plays in HBP :)
