and fascinating and, sure, darky comic.

the first thing that occurs to me is that even if they're "real" they're not honest; there're probably very good qualities all these people have that they're obfuscating with self-directed contempt.

aaaand: the way these people are talking is the way i suspect it sounds in all our heads sometimes (of course, i exclude *myself* from this), when life wears us down.
