That first paragraph was gorgeous, and very, very true.

I like complete psychological/emotional definitions for words like nostalgia. I think thats why I liked Stendhal On Love (minus the sexism and rants about frenchmen).

Aha! If you've got an inner soccer mom, then you are probably capable of baking cakes. I have no inner soccer mom, and even I can do it. Spring term, you-- just wait.

SO true. David Gray does that to me, too. A significant portion of it stems from White Ladder's prized place in my mid-high school musical memories canon, but even with his new stuff, still, there's somethin' there.

Same with the Counting Crows. It should by all rights be embarrassing, but what can I say?
