Oh, and great stuff on the SickBoy POV. Almost everything I've read has been Renton's, so it's great to read an alternative viewpoint. Goes towards humanising him.

Exactly. I can only ever manage to show that through Renton's interpretation of him. I haven't manage to nail the man himself yet.

Does the fact that I think this one was totally sweet make me as fucked up as I think it does? Oh well, so be it. It was great.

I think I really ought to start contributing to this wonderful little fandom, if only to boost the numbers, because at the moment it looks like you and a few others are carrying it on your shoulders (though you're doing rather a good job of it), but this is all irrelevant.

I love the way you characterize Sick Boy, because he seems like he must be the type where it's hard to get inside his head, but you do it so well. My favorite line: "Mark thinks it’s just proof that smack can make you a soulless motherfucker, but the jury is still out on if Simon ever had a soul to begin with."

Hey. Im new to this group. I used to think that i was the biggest Trainspotting fan in the world and that no-one would ever understand it or look into it like i do. Now I found you lot I feel like im home lol. After reading some of this fanfiction I actually cant believe its never occured to me to write some fanfiction of my own. I've thought of Irvine Welsh as my idol for so long that i wouldnt have thought i could do his characters justice, but now I'm really dying to give it a go. I also cant believe the whole concept of Renton and Sick Boy together has never crossed my mind. You people are opening my eyes!! xx
