Am I reading between the lines correctly that you basically also had *nothing to eat* for another 12 hours or so after finishing the race? And you've still got to wait until tomorrow to get a pin in your finger?
I would have trouble watching TV with a broken finger... especially if my bag of chips was slightly out of reach. I can't even imagine doing nearly an entire Ironman with one (well.. I can't really imagine doing an entire Ironman in full health either, but that's because I am a weenie).
