I saw it last night too...z_athenaNovember 19 2008, 19:03:44 UTC
I totally agree the first movie was better and this is over edited, still on it's own I'd recommend it.
1) yes there's room to linger and sit there another 15 minutes to watch the lingering. They did it a couple times, like at the Italian Villia, and the scene with the long walk over the dessert was good.
2) I think they're developing that over many movies... I really wanted to know why Bond couldn't sleep. Give me a flashback or something.
3) No comment
4) That transition was sketchy, there could have been a group of rebels there and then a little macheesmo showdown. Or he could have pretended to trade the woman then change his mind.
My own points...
a) Tell the fricken village people where their water is for god's sake. why leave them high and dry?
b) I loved the opera scene, it was sweet, give me more of that
c) Give me more hand to hand combat, the building leaping stuff was great, just got overdone
d)A little more sex/steamy/passionate buildup... the kissing/sex seemed random and without emotions.

And the Cloverfield shaky-cam thing was highly, highly annoying. The rest, I enjoyed.
