you're clearly a top class mother..that in itself puts your daughter in good stead as she leaves to deal with the world on her own.

Sorry for making you cry ! I will be okay. I know I will. But it has been hard.
The necklace was beautiful. It was made by a company called Heathergems. Her pleasure when she saw it is something I'll remember for a long time.

Well, I'm sure we all try to be the best mums we can be. I know that children growing up and leaving home is perfectly normal, but it's also quite hard to see, and feel, them go.
Sorry for making you cry !

I am feeling tearful reading that too. I hope that she comes back to visit often and also that she makes the most of her life.

Remember I have a friend in Orkney (another Amy, a journalist in her early 20s) who is living on her parents' farm at the moment as she's unemployed and had to leave London because of that. If you would like her details I'm sure she would be more than happy to befriend your Amy.

xx

Thank you so much. I'm sure my Amy would like to know your Amy.
The kind comments that my LJ friends have left for me have made a big difference to how I felt today. I'm very touched.
