I haven't been on LJ for an absolute age. I have had a lot of difficult things to contend with lately ( haven't we all ? ) which has made it seem difficult for me to post on here about anything people might even remotely want to read

I'm so sorry to hear things haven't been going well for you. I hope you have a therapist or understanding friend you can talk about it with.

Thank you. I don't feel able to talk about it with anyone really. I just feel ashamed, but I haven't done anything to be ashamed of. I feel ashamed that people might find out he has treated me badly and that, somehow, this will reflect terribly on me. I know that's ridiculous, but I don't seem to be able to shake it. I'm shocked by the ways in which this has affected me. I appreciate your message very much.
