yayy last day of uni!

I still have exams of course and there's plenty of study to do, but I've been looking forward to this huge uni-free period for a long while now. I'm watching Sam Stosur play awesome tennis so I thought I'd post some photos while I'm here.

This one I took weeks ago. I was walking home from the station and I saw a particularly.. hardy looking dandelion so I took it home with me and it just so happened that I only started taking a photo of it when it was about sunset anyway, so I sort of lucked out with the orange colour.

About a week ago, I was out in the city by my lonesome after meeting up with a friend. I always take my camera with me just in case, but I hardly ever get the chance to take photos of the city at night time, simply because I'm hardly ever in the city at night by myself. So this was kind of an awesome. I did get really wet though, but it was soooo worth it :D

Especially since the Vivid Festival (curated by Brian Eno) had just started, and I swear 50% of the crowd were out with their DSLRs it was nuts. I didn't have my tripod with me, so all my illuminated Opera House photos turned out horribly.

Ferris wheel at Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour.

The spiralling water feature thingy. Ah, if only I had brought my tripod.

Shot from on top the bridge in the photo below.

Empty The Strand mall.

The MCA is one of the illuminated installations part of the festival. Every minute or so, the projections on the building change, it looks pretty awesome.

I was waiting to meet up with a friend at Town Hall to see Samson and Delilah, so I wandered around to take photos. This is the side of Queen Victoria building. I'm really happy with this shot, it worked out beautifully.

Inside The Galeries. I think I just liked the glass ceiling and the Freedom banner but anyway.

Behind the Galeries.

Andddd back in front of the QVB. Don't try this at home!!

Waiting at the station.

These were taken today. Last day of uni, and I got there pretty early so it was a good day to bring a camera. This is The Foundry (the advertising agency responsible for the banned anti-discrimination 'Fat Pride' ad as shown on The Gruen Transfer). I've walked past this building so many times in my years at uni and it's taken me this long to take a photo of it. I always thought it looked pretty good though.
