Byakuya’s Wikia Page History: Born in one of the most prestigious upper-class families in Goldoa City, Byakuya always lived as what can be described as a modern noble. With luxury and riches came strict rituals and regiments, the boy always improving both his brain and his body. These traditions included Calligraphy, Poetry, Sword-Play with Katana, and many other activities. Through his adolescence he mastered it all. But it was not without some difficulty.
While younger he was a brutally defiant teenager, often following his heart without thinking situations through in their entirety and, as a result, getting into a lot of trouble. It was through one of these incidents that his power was discovered, as a matter of fact.
At age twelve he was admitted into Estrasia Academy, always at the top of his class and gaining unprecedented discipline in his studies. However, scarcely a year before he graduated, he found love in a woman named Hisana. Hisana was a woman from Kall, not at all raised in higher class and not at all someone his family accepted. However, Byakuya fell in love with Hisana and defied his family in the most unexpected way imaginable; once he turned eighteen, he married her.
That marriage, however, also wasn’t to last. Hisana was very sick, passing away to her illness a mere five years after their union. On her deathbed, Byakuya heard the final wish of Hisana; to find her younger sister, Rukia, and always take care of her. It took twelve months, but upon finding Rukia on the streets of Kall he immediately adopted the girl into the Kuchiki family. Ever since then Byakuya vowed to never break another rule or family tradition, causing his relationship to Rukia to be very strained. However, when the time calls for it, it will be apparent that Byakuya did come to care for Rukia as if she were his own younger sister.
Through this time Byakuya continued training and excelling with his power, even finding that he had minor telekinetic abilities on top of his hyper acceleration. He gained complete control over his powers and, once going through the necessary extra training, gained the degrees necessary to teach at Estrasia Academy. He now teaches Basic Telekinesis to those just discovering what can be determined as Telekinetic Prowess and Literature to the older students at the Academy.
Personality: Byakuya is often seen as an extremely calm and apathetic man, very rarely often to the point of seeming heartless and cruel in regards to most situations. This is only because of Byakuya’s upbringing as the heir of the Kuchiki Family however, and because of said upbringing Byakuya often keeps his emotions locked away. It does not mean he is incapable of having them, but rather somewhat socially retarded when it comes to expressing them. Adding to this appearance of a cold young lord is the consistent use of formal titles and speech, his dedication to his work and his tendency to sound distant and elegant even when he is insulting or advising someone. Additionally, his reaction to shock is minimal, Byakuya almost immediately able to come up with a logical explanation to the offending presence or event and going back to his normal apathetic state. The most one would get is a slight widening of the eyes... Unless they happen to be getting on his nerves, anyway.
Byakuya’s image and title also seem to hold high merit to him. However, Byakuya knows what is truly important and that allows him to put the lives of those he cares about before anything else. He is still a strong believer and upholder of the laws any place may have, wherever he may be.
Despite his cold outward appearance, Byakuya has a much warmer heart than one might expect. He often appears to mentor others in his life when it seems that they need it as well as to provide aid when necessary. Although he might not always show it, he truly is devoted to the people he finds important in his life and has ways of working so that he can maintain the image of a cold and distant noble while at the same time protecting the people he values above all others. Most times the two aspects are kept in perfect balance, but in the times when it is tested he will choose the people he cares about above his title and duties. This aspect in particular is a shining point of Byakuya’s personality.
When he is not working he often spends time alone, finding quiet spots with beautiful surroundings that are more frequently than not outdoors. Because of this it is safe to assume that, along with being anti-social, he has a great respect and admiration for nature. Cherry Blossom trees in particular he enjoys, and considering his zanpakuto that should come as no surprise. These times are when Byakuya is truly serene and calm, unlike the false serenity he often projects to the world when he is feeling conflicted or troubled. Even so, the difference between the face of the falsely calm Byakuya and the truly peaceful is noticeable... To those who know him, at least.

Third Person Sample: It was a beautiful day.
Charcoal-gray eyes opened to the sky above, warm sun coating his body after successfully sneaking under the tree he was under. One of the rare times when he honestly didn’t have anything better to do than sit and read, and a time the man was grateful for indeed. The pages of his book were currently closed however, for unfortunately he didn’t feel like reading. All he wanted to do was enjoy the quiet nature around him in peace.
He brushes jet black hair out of his eyes, watching a light breeze caress the leaves of the tree above him. When was the last time he did this, when he simply sat and enjoyed himself? He couldn’t even remember when it was. He would often train with his sword outside in this kind of weather, but the last time he stayed out here to simply enjoy it must have been at least two years ago. He and Hisana would often sit like this, just enjoying the weather.
He closed his eyes at that thought. It was still a difficult thing to think about, even with her final wishes fulfilled. But somehow, just being out here, it felt like she was closer to him again, like she was there with him. The thought warmed him considerably and he got to his feet, looking around the area.
It didn’t take long for him to find a bench to sit on, the book he held finally opening. A romance novel, one he felt was particularly well written. Perhaps he would have the class study it later in the semester, perhaps not. It would all depend on just how the book turned out. But, regardless of the book’s end, nothing would be able to ruin this quiet time for Byakuya Kuchiki.
First Person Sample: Class. Today we will learn beginner’s levitation. I trust everyone read up on the theory before today.
[He glances at the students before him, eyes stopping on each one to check for any sign of uncertainty. Satisfied, he held out his hand at the sticks ahead of him, easily causing one to float into the air and come to him. He caught it, glancing back at the students, some of who were impressed and some of who weren’t. There were some who thought of this as a complete waste of time. Arrogant fools.]
Practice this vigorously for this session. You will be lifting them up from a distance of fifteen meters (around 45 feet) and control them coming to you through both speed and precision. I expect perfection by the end of the week and I will be supervising. As for why we are doing a simple exercise like this, you must start small if you want your power to grow. Over-exertion of your abilities will only be counter-productive. Remember; Control and Precision. Begin.
[He glances at the students, standing back. Needlessly said, he found that all of the students were having difficulties in a variety of ways to get the wooden rods to come to them. Whenever asked he answered questions, even going up to one student and showing them the proper technique. As for the over-confident buffoons that insisted on trying to do it all themselves without any sort of help?
Well, he was going to let them figure out that they’d need help. The hard way.]
