Too late. Far, far too late as the small five feet two wunderkind spotted the gigantic armored man and moved towards him, a slow grin creeping up on her face. This..that suit reminded her of what she had made for the Black Hole Soldiers but even more modern.

She had to see it! She had to look at it! She had to try to find a way to reverse engineer it! If only she could find a lab here.

She just stood silently looking at him with interest.

The Chief gets the distinct sense that someone is staring at him.

He turns his head. Lo and behold!

"Yes?"

Oops, you probably noticed that mass of hair covering her head first. She raises her head to give the helmet eye contact and gives him a confident wave.

"Hey."

"Anyone ever tell you it's impolite to stare?"

Well, he'll figure out what's going on shortly. And nobody's screaming or dying so they're probably okay. He can waste a second or two on this.

Truthfully? "Not really, no. They never really taught me proper manners in Black Hole." She crosses her arms confidently. "Name's Lash. I used to be a Commanding Officer and the head Scientist of the Research and Development labs before coming here. I've never seen someone so tall apart from Hawke and with such an interesting suit!"

He kind of hesitates for a second, not really used to talkative people.
"I'm a Spartan," he replies. "We're all tall."

She didn't mince words, when she wanted to. "Selective breeding?"

Nor is he.

"No."

"Oh. You're a robot then?" It's not like she had seen him without his helmet yet.

"No."

Oh if only you could see the epic lineface, Lash.

Hey she was used to Hawke's linefaces, so this was hardly new even if she couldn't see it it was permanently ingrained in her mind. Her patience, however, was severely limited when it came to guessing games.

"So what are Spartans then?" For all she knew that suit could be huge and it was a two feet tall midget in there.

"Classified," he replies shortly.

Sometimes, it's nice to not be able to tell anyone about yourself.

Too bad that just made Lash want to find out. But she was wise enough to know not to push too many buttons. Besides there was so much else to explore. Whoever or whatever was behind that suit could wait.

"Fine, whatever. I can tell you're not a great talker anyway." she shrugged. "Maybe you can tell me how life on the ship is, at least?"

"It's busy," says the Chief. "And mostly governed by the ship. And if you aren't busy, it just means you haven't looked hard enough for something to do."

"Oh don't worry, I'll make myself as busy as possible," she retaliates, rubbing her chin in thought. "No one likes it when I'm bored."
