The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home

This man, whoever he was, seemed a lot more in control than the other newbies Lash had seen passed by. Like he knew where he was going. She could almost feel an aura of grandeur. He almost..almost reminded the girl of her old commander.
Needless to say, she already liked him a lot.
"Hey." Her favorite part of the greeting the new people was gauging their reactions to the simplest things.
Tony offered the newcomer a smile, finding it progressively easier to settle into the meet and greet routine. Everyone here seemed so lost- understandable, he realised, but it was more than that. People were here looking for connections.
"Hey. Another of the welcoming comittee? Tony Stark." He offered her his hand- firm and businesslike.
She clasped it with a surprising amount of strength for someone her size. At least compared her five feet to Tony's...well she estimated him to be at least six. It was almost amusing, really.
"You could say that. I'm just analyzing the newcomers more than anything." She flashed him an honest grin, before crossing her arms. "Name's Lash. Ex-Black Hole Commanding Officer, Head of the Science and R&D Weapons Development. It's not the same here, but at least Stacy offers a good challenge." She puffed up a little. "Although the Captain's got me starting to work Weapons on the bridge now."
"Head of Science and R&D, huh?" Tony smiled, shaking her hand firmly. Interesting, considering what he'd learned about the AI through their brief encounter- and his subsequently extremely ungraceful forced exit from the network. Stacy certainly seemed more interested in having caretakers than actual free-thinking crew. "What exactly does that involve? The ship seems perfectly capable of running herself."
"You know, I'm not even sure yet. Kirk just asked for volunteers yesterday, and I signed up." Hopefully she'd get told more news about it soon; Lash was getting terribly excited. It probably showed in the way she was talking as new toys to play with always put her in a pleasant mood. "The prospect of handling weapons is good enough for me. It's not in my nature to obey orders unless I feel a man's worth following." She arched an eyebrow. "I suppose the temptation of being able to control dangerous ammunition that make other things explode spectacularly is a nice bonus."
Of course nothing was going to even come close to four hundred feet tall gigantic death ray she had once built for Lord Sturm unless Stacy was feeling the need to have one on top of her hull. Pew pew.
Ah. One of those. "Well, I hope you find what you're looking for," he told her with a smile. "I'm not in the weapons manufacturing business anymore, haven't been for a while- but I'm sure the ship has some kind of offensive capability- and if not, well. I'm sure you can find an alternative."
Needless to say, she already liked him a lot.
