She'd fought against the gigantic twisted memories of oozium 238, in the middle of an ancient war, hit dinosaurs, helped a guy who had fantastic weapons in his backpack....thing, fought with a guy who could transform into different forms and had cuts, bruises and dried blood all over her body. She was tired, done, exhausted.

But they'd won, and for an ex-Commanding Officer, it had been the time of her life. Her heart was still beating, and the adrenaline was still giving her a warrior's high. She could barely see from the blurred vision, yet Lash couldn't be happier.

"WE DID IT!" she yelled at everyone who was close and she stepped into the medical bay, flinging her arms in the air only to bring them down just as violently. "We..O-Ouch! I guess I scrapped myself a little more than I thought, tee hee hee." She looked down on her left hand, and the small stream of blood that ran from her top elbow's torn suit to her fingers still looked fresh. "Woops." She suddenly felt rather dizzy and continued to walk a little before falling to the ( ... )

Matt knew he shouldn't be pushing himself either. After exhausting all of the power he brought from the Lumia when the attack began, he was looking for Will. Then he noticed Lash and knelt down beside her. "Need help?"

He was tired and haggard but he added, "I've got a healing spell just till you get patched up for good."

A commanding officer like her accepting help? Unthinkable! Unimaginable!

"No I'm-" Owwww. That was a pretty nasty bruise. She pouted her lips a little bit in defiance at herself before relenting. "Okay, if you've got something to spare, I guess I won't say no."

"All right, just hold a moment."

Muttering soft syllables under his breath, magic poured forth from his fingertips, mending whatever aches and pains it could find. "Some fight huh?" remarked Matt.

"You're telling me," she laughed. "I thought I had seen everything when Von Bolt unleashed a thousand feet wide oozium monster, but I think this beats it. If only the rest of the Commanding Officers had been here, I'm sure they would have helped too." There was a tiny sigh that escaped her lips. She'd been thinking more about them lately. It was kinda hard not to get homesick, even if she technically didn't have a home before leaving. Trying to change her thoughts, she bent her arm a little to test it out. The muscles didn't seem to be protesting as much as before.

"Hey, I think it worked!" She smiled. "Name's Lash, by the way."

Matt chuckled as he sat down and groaned. "I'm just glad I had enough magic to sustan me through the fighting. I'm Matt. Nice to meet you Lash."

He chuckled and laid down, hands behind his head. "God I'm tired. Between buffing everyone in sight and healing... I'm ready to sleep for a week or three."

"I have to admit," she began, "despite the whole horrible aspect in all of this, I kinda did enjoy it. I guess it's because I was born an breed to fight wars, you know? I'm more at ease in this type of environment then a boring desk job. I just wish I could have used my Commanding Officer powers better."

She crossed her arms. "But I admit even a genius like me will need a few days of uninterrupted beauty sleep. Gotta stay sharp if I'm gonna work on the bridge crew. I'm definitely looking forward to not having nightmares every time my eyes close."

Matt nodded in sympathy as he cast another spell to reinforce her mind a little, keep her alert so she could slog her way to a bed or whatever. "I know the feeling. I'm the Captain of a legion back home, but I haven't done anything like this in ages."

He grinned. "I know the feeling. I'm just trying to help as many people as I can before I go back to the WITCH bus and fall into my plush bed. Though considering how much magic I used? I'll be sleeping for two weeks, MINIMUM."

"I was a Commanding Officer," she replied back. "Part of Black Hole forces but then I helped Orange Star...it's a long story. Probably best saved for a day that isn't right after a major war."

She did raise an eyebrow. "...a witch bus?" Sorry, but right now all she could imagine was about forty or so old ladies with pointed hats sitting together in a bright yellow bus. It was...somewhat terrible. Amusing, but terrible.

"Yeah, we'll have to get together for drinks or something and chat over that and baked goods," grinned Matt.

He nodded. "You know that really big pink bus near the Jedi Temple? It's affectionately refered to as the WITCH Bus. It's a acronym for the girls who make up the Guardians of the Infinite Dimensions. W for Will, I for Irma, T for Taranee, C for Cornelia and H for Hay Lin. Put it together and you have WITCH." He shrugged. "It's a mobile school, filled with rooms larger than it should, a full dorm with really comfy beds..."

"Maybe if we're lucky, Stacy won't be just giving us sloppy stuff," she agreed. "I could go for real food." She recalled that night in the mystery machine.

"Oh yeah! I saw it." She thought it was pretty pink. "That's pretty..." hilarious! What type of people name themselves after acronyms? "...clever! Makes me wonder if I should seriously start searching for stuff from my world. I'd sleep better knowing there's a Neotank or two nearby."

"Actually we've got a supply of food in the bus. If you want, swing by for breakfast. I usually get a hearty breakfast going. Well, I will once I wake up. Seriously, two week nap, I swear to god. It's going to happen." laughed Matt. It was true, the guy looked really beat.

"Check the vehicle bay. I heard there's all sorts of stuff there. That's where I found our bus." added Matt.

"Hmmm..." She held her chin with her left hand, thinking. "A trip there wouldn't hurt. I'm guessing you aren't the only one who uses it, then?"

"Naw, it's a home more or less. Katara and her friends had moved in when things were going nuts, and I gave a room to Kala of course. Then there's Will, my girlfriend who lives there, Rein who lives in my room in her bag and Irma too. Aeneas comes by and I invited Arha over for food."

He grinned and rubbed his head. "I think we're always looking for more people to share breakfast with."

"Home..." She had no idea who these people were. Lash wasn't really the type to socialize much but considering everything that had happened recently.

"..I guess I should warn you." she grinned again. "I have terrible table manners."

Matt laughed. "Oh hey don't worry about that. It's not like we're going to enforce it at the breakfast table at any rate."
