Morale was high, and everyone had their share of fun, but now it was time to part ways with Zokez II.

As everyone made their way back to the spaceport to be picked up, they could see the Obs Deck waiting for them with ramp open, and large tendrils eagerly moving vehicles and cargo back aboard.

It's about time to say goodbye to this planet...but fate

Suddenly, the crew got a message from Stacy.

||There has been a change of plans. The Zokez II directorate has requested that we help in the situation. They are asking for one group to try and help with the reactor, while another group will go and help with the evacuation procedures.||

||Sorry to call you all to duty so quickly after your shore leave, but the authorities here need all the help they can get.||

"What kind of reactor?" he asked quickly. "Do you have our weapons?"

"I knew it had been too quiet." Angie had been out and about during the shore leave. On the planet, just quiet. "Do we have plans for the reactor, Stacy? Or is this one of those 'find out as we go along' things?"

"What do they need us to do?" Kira echoed Ben and Angie. "And what's wrong with the reactor? Do we know?"

"Whatever this reactor is made of, I'm going. I'm sure I can figure it out."

||I had taken the liberty to prepare an emergency stash of weaponry, just in case something occurred during shore leave.||

One of the Obs-Deck tendrils drops a rather large crate down next to the group, prying it open. Inside, a massive pile of weaponry awaited them.

||There are both lethal and non-lethal weapons to choose from. I suggest using the latter in case the evacuees get out of hand.||

||But be careful. They apparently cannot contact the reactor staff to get any details on the situation.||

"It's never a drill," the Doctor muttered under his breath, hearing the warning. Not in his life, anyway...

"Reactor, though... I'm good with reactors!" Pause. "Usually."

Okay, so he nearly-almost died of radiation poisoning not long ago, but surely that can't happen again!

Excellent. Lash grabbed one of the larger laser guns and gave it an experimental crank before throwing it over her shoulder. And those timed bombs would do nicely. Wait weren't they going to stop the reactor? Why did she need bombs? You never knew.

"Going into a reactor blind? Sounds like my kind of mission, teehee!"

Ah, finally, something exciting! Dustin immediately went to the front, shoving in front of the rest of the group with the usual arrogance and projected authority (not to mention the obligatory condescending glare) that he seemed to carry around in ample supply.

His bright red backpack was one of the first things out, and he did a brief check to make sure everything was still there. Still not sure what to do about the tools part, of course, but they'll get there when they get there...

"How many are we sending to the reactor?" Axl asked, already rooting around in the weapons crate. "I mean, I don't think I'm much good for crowd control, but I know it's not like we can send every person to the reactor, either..."

||A handful of technical experts, particularly ones that have experience with reactors, and perhaps a few people to act as escorts just in case. I don't think we'll be able to get too large a group over there quickly enough, so a small group will have to do.||

Kira looked around at the pile of weapons, feeling uneasy. If it were just a reactor issue, why would they need to be armed? And yet, he had an odd feeling about the matter.

"If you need someone to take a look at the computers, I'll help."

[gunslinging]

"Escort. I can do that." Axl glanced around to see if anybody was going to challenge him on it.

But he really hoped not, because considering how most of the people in the evacuation stampede towered over him anyway, he doubted he'd be doing much good over there.

"Let's go."

Morpher strapped on, tools ready, all set. Awful situation, but this was what he lived for. He'd fought inside a reactor a handful of times and studied how they worked. It shouldn't take too long for all of them to resolve the situation.

Shinn rummaged through the box of weaponry, pulling out sleek boxes with labels with words like semi-automatic and tear gas. "You stupid science-types aren't even thinking about crowd control when you touch down..."

"Shinn, it's a power plant. What 'crowds' are going to be there?"
