While he would have liked to try his new idea to watch movies using the sensoriums...it was important today's meeting happened at the Outsider headquarters

Starfire hoped she wasn't too terribly late. It had taken longer than she had expected to ask the crew members for some form of snack. Anything would be wonderful, she'd begged.
Finally, she'd come away with a somewhat large bag of potato chips after promising to help with some chores. Grinning, she plopped the bag down in front of the people gathered there.
"I have located the snacks!"
Once that was declared, she observed the decor. "You have been most creative with the lighting, Beast Boy."
Beastboy's eyes lit up at the bag of chips but he quickly held back. Let all the others have them first A voice in his head that sounded like Raven ordered him. "Heh, thanks Star! I was going for something bright and hip you know? Something cool!"
Starfire floated up to the disco ball, spinning around it with a shining smile. "It is quite pleasing to the eye. Do you require any other assistance before the film begins?"
"Uh not really I don't think..." He tapped his chin in thought, "Actually, if you could like, find someone you haven't spoken to yet and get to know them? We gotta know each other and like, learn about each other if we're gonna work together right?" He offered hopefully trying to sound like he knew what he was doing.
If you guys are not cool with Lash bursting in, I will delete <3things_go_boomSeptember 12 2010, 08:56:51 UTC
The talk was interrupted with an afo bursting into the scene, a human female attached to it.
"Hey guys! Guess w-" she looked around, utterly confused at the lighting.
"Uuuuh, what's with the spinning glass ball?" Being stuck in a war field for most of her life, she was completely confused by what it was supposed to represent. "Is it a holographic display for the movie?"
Nah, I love Lash :DchangelingdudeSeptember 12 2010, 13:55:56 UTC
Beastboy cheered, "Lash! Glad you could make it!" He offered her a hand for a high five, "That's a disco ball, it's just there to look cool and make cool light effects!"
Starfire nodded enthusiastically. "It provides the required atmospheric "coolness" for our hanging out. Our film will be projected by that device."
She pointed to the DVD player, proud that she had memorized at least something about technology. Well...with Beast Boy and Cyborg underfoot at Titans Tower, it was rather necessary.
She then remembered that their comrade had cut herself off mid-sentence. "Did you have an announcement for us, Lash?"
Katara hadn't said anything for awhile, and that was because she had started to nod off a little in the corner. It had been a pretty intense few days, and she hadn't exactly gotten enough sleep. When she opened her eyes and saw that a few of the Outsiders had gathered together, she smiled gently, and rubbed her eyes a little.
"Hey Star, hey Lash! Sorry I didn't greet you earlier, haven't had a lot of sleep. Have we decided what movie we'll watch yet?"
"We have not. We have only succeeded in eliminating movies that we do not wish to watch," she sighed. At this point, Starfire was considering selecting one at random---but would that be fun?
"Please do not worry, Katara. We all require our rest." In Starfire's mind, their health was more important than greetings.
"Hey!" she greeted Beastboy and Starfire, giving the green male a high five (and still unused to something of the sort) before turning to Starfire, her eyes dotting between her and the disco ball.
"It provides the required atmospheric "coolness"" she parroted back, stroking her chin. Once Katara woke up however, the strange contraction was forgotten. "Hi to you too!"
She grinned. Despite hearing she was something of a warlord, Katara wound up liking Lash. Whatever she might have done before, she seemed all right now, even fun. "Hey Lash! Glad you're here: when you're not busy, I can show you about the sculptures. I'd do it myself, but i'm not too gifted with artistry. I'm better at fighting and bending. No hurries though: I know it takes awhile."
For now, better to decide on the movie...which she was sure everyone else knew a great deal more about than she did. "So which movie would be best?"
