Kate walked into the party, and paused. Funny, she felt a draft. She then glanced down at what she was changed into and yelped. Those shorts were really...short. Ok, the mask and the cape was nice, but yikes!

That yelp pulled Billy straight to her side. If they were going to be teammates, they'd have to back each other up when trouble came.

Whoa, Lash, when did you get here? Billy blinked at her, then took in the costume. Wow, Stacy wasn't being kind to them today---but they were both very pretty. Should he say that and risk getting into trouble?

He settled for a shy smile. "I guess the ship's goal is to embarrass us today. It looks like we'll have to play by her rules if we want to stay," he sighed.

"Hey Billy, Lash, uh, yeah... I figured on a costume change. Just not one..." She tried to tie the cape around her waist so it was like a skirt.

"That's so short. And well she succeeded on the embarrassing."

Lash looked around and pointed to someone. "Maybe we could steal that bed sheet from whoever that is over there and give you a longer dress..."

Billy looked down at his own costume, seeing if there was anything he could offer. The odd plate that covered his stomach? No, it was molded too tightly and hardly the right shape.

They could ask for the sheet, but it wasn't beyond the realm of possibility for the ship to take it away. "I don't know if the Sensorium will allow that, but it's worth a try."

He knew how uncomfortable it had to be. It wasn't right.

The cape wrap around was sort of working. Barely.

Kate replied, "I think I'm ok now with this. Better than how it was. I mean there's a reason my outfit included leggings, and even those Ranger suits cover much more than this."

"I've had my share of short outfits in the past but at least they had leggings." She was a bit disappointed that there would be no stealing borrowing going on that night, but perhaps it was for the best.

"At least it looks pretty neat?" she offered, pushing up her own yellow glasses. "The four hundred pounds of hair they added to mine feels like my face is just going to peel off at any second."

Billy glanced at Lash's braid, imagining how heavy it must be. "Stacy wouldn't let anything happen to your face, would she?"

He sighed, pulling on his gloves. "I'm just hoping this is the worst of what Stacy has in mind for us."

Jamie had heard the yelp, but it had taken him a bit longer to get across the room. Trying to maneuver in his outfit is proving to be a bit tricky - mostly because he doesn't want to smack into people with the shoulders.

"Kate? Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, just Stacy surprised me a little with this. It's really short." She was now trying to tie the cape around her waist as a skirt.

Yeaaaah that laughter you heard from the shoulder pads most certainly didn't come from an afro girl dressed in a suit.

Then again, her teeheehee laughter was pretty unique. Sorry Jamie. That costume was...something else.
