The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Billy had to know his day was going too well. He'd had a great meal and romantic interlude in the morning, reunited with Kaya in the evening...all said and done, he was in a great mood.

Of course, that all came crashing down when he heard an all-too-familiar voice and his eyes settled on a disgustingly familiar villain. Was this some kind of cosmic joke? He'd been hoping and waiting for a familiar face from his world for all this time, and she gives him...Zedd? The one person who wanted him dead more than anyone?

Billy wasted no time in snatching up the morpher on his belt, morphing into the Blue Ranger form. With a leap forward, he gestured for everyone to stand clear and dug his heel into the deck. Facing Lord Zedd alone...could he do this? He had to try, at least.

"You won't be the emperor of us," Billy growled, swinging his lance in front of him for protection. "It didn't work on Earth, and it's not going to work here!"

He'd admit it - Zedd was shocked AND angry that, of everyone from his universe, he was saddled with a Ranger. It did throw him for a loop as to why he was using those powers, but that was beyond the fact. It was a Ranger. In front of him. And he was trying to be a hero.

"Oh, don't be a hero, Billy!" Zedd snapped at the Ranger. "You think you can beat me? Tommy could barely stand up against me!"

"I'm not the same person you faced back then," Billy warned, though Zedd was more correct than he cared to admit. "We've had to fight off evildoers far more successful than you---actually, that's why we're all here in the first place, if you didn't get the message!"

Billy was still steaming with rage and hurt. Stacy couldn't be bothered to rescue his best friends, but she'd send him? Fight off world-destroying Ohm with world-destroying Lord Zedd. It made perfect sense!

He was so distracted by watching Zedd that he forgot to send a secret warning to his Rangers.

"What are you blabbering about, boy?" Zedd snarled. "How can there be anyone better than me?" Okay, better than him that WASN'T Master Vile, but still...

"Try the Ohm," Billy shot back, clutching his lance to his chest. "You tried for a year to level our planet and failed. They overwhelmed us and destroyed everything in two minutes flat. So...I'm so sorry to tell you this, but there's no longer an Earth for you to conquer!"

He had to yell. If he stopped raging for a moment, less socially acceptable emotions might surface.

Zedd glared at Billy. That was twice someone told him that. He couldn't believe it from Lash, but now this.

"And what do you want me to do about it, boy? Help you?" Zedd snapped back, visibly shuddering at the thought.

"I'd settle for you refraining from undermining us with your mind games," Billy grumbled, "but I fear that might be too much to ask. You've already brought friends," he pointed out, glaring at the Putties. Not that he couldn't take them out easily enough (the Z, the most obvious point, as the weakness? Really, what was Zedd thinking?) but it definitely put the evil intent on display.

"You're not planning to side with them, are you? Join forces and level even more planets?"

"I'm evil, not stupid! You actually think I'm going to aid someone who took my victory away from me? You're out of your mind! Let's put it like this, Ranger: I'll help you, but at the same time, I'm going to enjoy making you as uncomfortable as possible!"

It was starting to see that an immediate takeover was going to be hard to pull off. So, he's going to make sure to make everyone squirm.

"Oh, so you want to restore Earth just to destroy it all over again? That's surprisingly unproductive, even for you," Billy answered. "But if that helps you come to terms with this..."

He glared at Zedd beneath the visor. "You can expect the same treatment."
