Mingling at the Bazaar

Next to the Mall Hotel, a large bazaar sprawled out through the streets. Food stalls, jewelery stalls, plastic surgery stalls...might want to stay away from that last one. But since the bizaar was close by, it served as a good place for the crew to meet up and start their exploration of XaXing.

And what great timing! Lash arrived running away from a bunch of merchants, still having most of her money unspent and a few bags slung in her back.

"Hey Billy what are you...what the..." she stared at the underwear and poked at one despite the seller's protest. "W-what the."

It's not like Lash had never worn underwear in her life, but come on, seeing those things displayed in the perfect colors made her burst out laughing. "Tee hee hee! Look at them! That's way too special!"

"Miss why are you..."

"Once size fits all too!"

Not too far behind Lash is Jamie, who has a few small bags of his own with him. The Yellow Ranger's hair is unique enough that he can generally spot it even from a distance. So naturally, having seen it in this crowd, he decides to follow her and see what she's up to. This has nothing whatsoever to do with the belief that Jamie has that if you leave Lash in a place long enough she will manage to get in trouble somehow, of course ( ... )

Billy took one look at the gathering team behind him and sighed, pulling his face out of his hands for just a moment.

"I don't know! It's...not too big of a coincidence, considering the basic nature of these vibrant colors, but I got corralled into investigating this shop. That doesn't mean you have to as well." At least, he hoped it didn't. The shopkeeper was upon them, a rather calculating look on his face.

"Do we have a set deal? We do offer group discounts!"

"Matching underwear could be pretty fun," Lash began looking at the shopkeeper. "For a good price. And only for a good price. It's not like we don't have any already. Something like this is a want, not a need. You'll have to make it worth our while."

"Look, Lash," Jamie starts, trying to cut her off before she gets it into her head to... Too late. She's already started to haggle. Oh, that's just great.

"Could ye have at least asked us first?" he mutters, well under his breath.

"It's fun for you and your partner," the shopkeeper added helpfully, a bright smile on his face.

Billy could see that this was quickly becoming dangerous territory. He tried to cough and throw himself in the way, but the shopkeeper would not be deterred, deftly side-stepping around Billy.

"My hot deal is 300 for 6, multiple styles available in each color, can't be beat anywhere! What do you say?"

After a shooting Lash a bit of a look for that comment, Jamie doesn't quite do the obvious thing of looking down at his kilt. But he does shift his stance slightly, placing his thumbs on his waist and letting his hands rest on either side.

"No, thank ye. It's not needed," he says, ignoring the shopkeeper's comment about partners for now. Instead, he looks over at the others expectantly. "Right?"

"I saw we keep walking and good luck trying to find a sucker buying them for that price," her voice is mocking and somewhat infuriating, probably to both Jamie and the shopkeeper. "I have other things to do than to stand around and buy myself colored underwear for nearly half of the money we were given for here."

She waves at him and starts to walk away. "Toddles!"

Now to see if he will lower his prices. After all, she honestly was having more fun watching the others stand there dumbfounded than buy them. If she ends up with them at a good price, all the better. Maybe Jamie could wear them on his head. Tee hee hee.
